Msgr. Robert Harahan
Weekend Assistant

Current headmaster at Seton Hall Preparatory School. Since July 1, 2014, Msgr. Harahan is a Bloomfield native. Ordained in 1974 he spent three years as an assistant at St. Francis Xavier in Newark and as a teacher at Immaculate Conception Seminary, Darlington. He earned a licentiate in Sacred Theology from Catholic University in 1980 and a doctorate 1980 and a doctorate in Sacred Theology from Rome’s Lateran University in 1983. In 1990 Archbishop Theodore McCarrick appointed him rector of the College seminary and dean of the School of Theology at Seton Hall University, a posted he held until 1995. Prior to his appointment as headmaster at Seton Hall Prep., he had been pastor at St. Theresa of Avila parish in Summit and St. Elizabeth of Hungary in Wyckoff.
